It’s eating disorder week and I’m supporting Beat’s “why wait” campaign.
As someone who struggled for many years in my 20’s with Bulimia (and I go into detail in my book LifeTonic), I know first-hand what it’s like to suffer. To clarify what bulimia is see below:
Bulimia nervosa, also known as simply bulimia, is an eating disorder characterised by binge eating followed by purging. Binge eating refers to eating a large amount of food in a short amount of time. Purging refers to the attempts to get rid of the food consumed. This may be done by vomiting or taking laxatives.
